University of Exeter sponsors the Cornwall Business Awards’ Sustainable Business of the Year category

We are delighted to be sponsoring the Cornwall Business Awards in 2018, supporting the Sustainable Business of the Year category.

Now in its 13th year the awards are free to enter and open to any business with its head office or main business premises in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. The Awards recognises the very best of business in Cornwall showcasing the huge range of successful businesses in all sectors and all sizes.

The Sustainable Business of the Year award will be made to the business that best demonstrates a clear focus on sustainability through, for example, environmental policy, energy use, innovation, responsible purchasing and employment practices. Judges will be looking for evidence of an engaged workforce and commitment to a culture of sustainability driven by the company leadership and management.

Amie Fulton, Head of Innovation, Impact and Business at the University of Exeter in Cornwall said: “Supporting the Cornwall Business Awards is one of many ways that the University of Exeter engages with businesses in Cornwall. We are particularly happy to be sponsoring the Sustainable Business Award as this is a recurring and underlying theme of much of the research that the University undertakes at our two campuses in Cornwall.”

The awards are open for entry and close on 16th February with the winners announced at an awards ceremony on 19 April at St Mellion Hotel.
