University policy

The University Studio employs four full-time designers, one half-time designer and has access to freelance staff. We have the capacity and the expertise to design and produce all the work that Schools and Professional Services require. We add considerable extra value through our experience within the HE sector and our knowledge of the University and its key messages, facts and figures.

We would not therefore expect that Schools/Professional Services would normally find it necessary to employ an external design and print supplier.

However, if the situation arises please follow the University policy which requires you to:

• Include the University Design Studio in any tender process
• Notify Ann Pollard if an external supplier is appointed before the work is started so that we can make sure that your publicity materials are produced in accordance with the University’s visual identity guidelines and quality standards
• Pass the design proofs to Ann Pollard for approval before they are sent to print.
