The University’s photolibrary

The University’s photolibrary is at http://assetbank.ex.ac.uk/. Staff may go to this page to register as a user and will be given 'view only' permission. Having chosen images they wish to download they should contact their School Marketing Manager or Web Officer.

Assetbank does not hold our entire photo stock but we are adding to it all the time. If you can’t find the image you need in Assetbank please contact Ann Pollard in the first instance.

Recommended photographers

We have established working relationships with local photographers in both Exeter and Cornwall. If you want advice on commissioning and briefing a photographer please contact Ann Pollard to discuss your project.

Data protection

If you take photos of people you must obtain their consent, both to have their photo taken and to allow the University to use that photo across a range of applications. This photo consent form must be signed by the subject and retained by you. This applies to both students and staff. If you are taking a large group, for example a lecture, members should be given the opportunity to leave the group whilst the photo is being taken if they do not give their consent. The person in charge of the group (lecturer in this case) should sign the consent form on behalf of the group.
