Faculty are invited to bid for Outward Mobility Academic Fellowships. Funding is available to develop and expand relationships with world-class partner universities. 

Each College will have set individual deadlines and may have additional criteria or guidance. Please liaise with and submit your completed application to your College Business Partner.

US-UK Fullbright Commission in London and USF announce deadlines for post-doctoral fellowship and post-graduate scholarship 

For 2019 graduating baccalaureates and masters students seeking a post-grad program in the U.S. or for doctoral graduates seeking a post-doctoral qualification, these two awards may be of interest.   Both awards are run and the finalists are selected by the Fulbright Commission. Then USF reviews the finalists. As such, working through the Fulbright application process at their website for this award is required.  In order to have a strong application for either award in 2019, interested applicants are recommended to google the one of the key areas identified on the Fulbright website (see above) and read the appropriate webpages at USF

 


Nanyang Technological University–University of Exeter biomedical split-site studentships

NTU and Exeter are working in partnership to deliver six split-site Biomedical PhD studentships. If successful, you will benefit from expert supervision from researchers in both institutions and have the opportunity to research and live in two great locations, for up to eighteen months in each.

UK-Argentina AMR in the Environment Research Call

BBSRC and NERC, on behalf of the Department of Health and Social Care, and the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas, CONICET) in Argentina have recently launched a joint call for collaborative research proposals focussing on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) in the environment.‚Äč

 

Grants of between £500K and £1m. Projects to be 34 months in duration, starting 1st August 2019. Deadline for applications 13 December.


New Funding Call for UK-India Academic Collaborations Announced 

The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), India has initiated a new funding programme, the Scheme for Promotion of Academic and Research Collaboration (SPARC). The primary objective is to enhance capacity and capability of the Indian research ecosystem by facilitating collaborations between Indian institutions and leading universities from 28 nations, including the UK. Up to £100,000 is available to support academic and research collaboration with India.

 

The deadline for applications is 15 November, but they will be accepting applications until 30 November.


 

The 2018 UK-China-BRI Countries Partnership Fund is now open for applications and please submit your proposal by 23:59 GMT on 30 December 2018. UK-China BRI Countries Partnership Fund is an initiative by the British Council and Ministry of Education to proactively support multi-lateral higher education links between the UK, China, and Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) Countries, including ASEAN countries. Opportunties from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK)

Deadline: Tuesday, 10 April 2018

The Internationalisation Faculty Mobility Scheme (Inbound) encourages faculty members from universities and institutions overseas to initiate visits to the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) for exploration and development of institutional/faculty/departmental-level collaborations as well as collaborative research with leaders in frontier research in different fields. The scheme allows faculty members to pursue international academic exchanges to strengthen ties with institutions overseas.
