Overview
Role
Belinda is an Impact and Partnership Development Officer (IPDO) in the Innovation, Impact and Business (IIB) team, working in the Society, Culture and Organisations Theme team. Her main responsibilities involved Partnership and Development for the Exeter Culture and the Exeter UNESCO City of Literature programmes.
Hosted within IIB, the role is funded by the University of Exeter, Arts Council England and Exeter City Council. Exeter Culture works closely with the city's arts and culture sector to build resilience, promote activity and amplify the Exeter's cultural offer. Work includes advising on funding bids, hosting training and development sessions, working with the NPO network, and increasing connectivity around the city's strategic aims for culture.
Awarded in November 2019, the designation of City of Literature is a prestigious addition to the city's cultural offer, connecting Exeter with 38 other cities of literature globally, and 245 other designations.
Profile
As an experienced editor and arts journalist, Belinda has worked on regional, national and digital titles, and has a broad network of contacts in the culture sector. She has also worked with theatre groups, heritage organisations and visual arts collectives as a producer and marketing consultant, collaborating on strategic touring and digital engagement projects as well as evaluation reports for external funding bodies.
