Dr Sarah Thomas is an experienced higher education professional with signficant expertise in international research development and programme management.
Sarah currently provides senior project management support to a £4m BEIS and CIFF funded international research programme. The programme titled 'Economics of Energy Innovation and System Transition' (EEIST) develops cutting-edge energy innovation analysis to support government decision making around low-carbon innovation and technological change. By engaging with policymakers and stakeholders in Brazil, China, India, the UK and the EU, the project aims to contribute to the economic development of emerging nations and support sustainable development globally.
Sarah is also technical co-director to UK Partnering for Accelerate Climate Transition (PACT) which involves leveraging Exeter's knowledge and delivery strengths to maximise opportunities for BEIS and partner countries to benefit from leading low carbon transition expertise.
Sarah also provides strategic research development support for ODA research funding such as initatives funded through the Global Challenges Research Fund.
Sarah has previously supported University of Exeter’s Leverhulme Trust and Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) portfolio and has co-ordinated and supported a number of institutional bids.
