Understanding the perspectives and lived experiences of other people can help us to be more empathetic and inclusive and to consider things from new perspectives.

On this page, we have a selection of inclusive videos, celebrating and educating about diversity within the University and around the world

Mandy McBain is a Client Account Manager for Stonewall and through her work with the Lesbian, Gay, Bi and Trans Equality Charity and alongside her involvement with the Armed Services and UK Security Services, Mandy has become a passionate advocate for equality, diversity and inclusion.

Professor Janice Kay, Provost and Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of Exeter, received the Universities of Sanctuary award on behalf of the University on 20 November 2019, at an event on Streatham Campus where staff and students had the opportunity to hear about some of the work of the University to nurture a culture of welcome towards refugees and asylum seekers.
