Businesses in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly
The Environment and Sustainability Institute has been enabled with a £30 million investment from the EU European Regional Development Fund (£22.9m) and the South West Regional Development Agency (£6.6m). With our commitment to working in partnership with businesses, this investment will help ensure that local enterprises maximise the opportunities presented by the region’s designation as a Low Carbon Economic Area.
We are very interested in working with businesses in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly across all sectors, in particular those within:
- Clean technologies including
Renewable energy including marine renewables and renewable heat,
Energy Control Systems, - Sustainable mining,
- Sustainable construction,
- Biodiversity and land use management,
- Environmental goods and services provision,
- Policy and regulation,
- Behavioural change.
In addition we are keen to build relationships with third sector organisations with an interest in these areas including: social enterprises, charities and community organisations. We also work closely with local business support providers.
