Seminar on Wednesday 16 December, 1:00, Trevithick Room

Education for Sustainability is a complex field; it is far broader in scope than is commonly understood and develops outcomes for learners that stretch far beyond ‘sustainability’ behaviour changes or modifications.

In this seminar, Morgan Phillips, Education Manager at Keep Britain Tidy and head of Eco-Schools England, will discuss content, approach, outcomes and emerging trends in Education for Sustainability. Taking a participatory approach he will encourage reflection on the breadth of contributions made to education for sustainability, specifically exploring contributions that are accidental and what sustainability educators might learn and apply by studying those who don’t mention the environment.
