Creative exchange event for local artists

Local artists are invited to the University of Exeter’s Environment and Sustainability Institute (ESI) on Wednesday 26 June to take part in the second Creative Exchange Programme’s Melting Pot.

The event aims to bring together creative practitioners and research academics who share an interest in issues of environment and sustainability. The programme is a joint initiative by the University of Exeter’s Environment and Sustainability Institute and Falmouth University’s Research in Art, Nature and the Environment (RANE) research group.

If you are a creative practitioner with an interest in pursuing opportunities for collaboration or if you would just like to learn more about the programme, please register here to attend the event. Attendees will get the opportunity to hear about forthcoming Creative Exchange projects and discuss their ideas with ESI researchers.

The work of wildlife artist and Creative Exchange Affiliate Chris Thorn will be on show during the event. Chris joined the ESI as part of the Creative Exchange Programme in February and has been working with ESI researchers Richard Inger, Juliet Osborne, Ilya McLean and Robbie McDonald, to develop original work combining X-ray imaging with traditional ink drawing methods.

Chris’s exhibition will be open to the general public with refreshments from 6pm to 7pm. If you wish to attend this exhibition you do not need to register please go straight to the ESI building on the Cornwall Campus.

For more information please email Alex Huke, ESI Knowledge Exchange Manager.
