The Children in Need event will take place in the Forum building on Friday 16th November.
Children in Need party promises to be a fun-filled evening
Guests attending the BBC Children in Need in the South West party on Friday 16 November 2012 are set to enjoy an evening packed with entertainment.
Further details of the event are being confirmed, with activities being organised to entertain the crowd around the live feature broadcasts by the BBC Spotlight team on BBC1 and live links to the national TV network programme.
The main highlight will be a performance by the BBC regions’ 200 member children’s choirs, linking across the UK for a national choral performance. The South West choir, made up of children from across Devon, Cornwall and the Channel Islands, will perform from a purpose-built stage in the Forum Street.
Other activities include educational demonstations in the Career Zone, circus acts and stilt walkers, as well as a programme of events from University student societies.
In keeping with the Olympic year, there will be sports demonstrations with Pudsey taking part, including the 'fastest tennis serve' competition. There will also be an outside stage and stunts being performed by Andrei Burton, mountain bike trials athlete, on the Forum Piazza.
Local people are encouraged to join in with the fun and fundraising by registering their interest at pudseytickets@bbc.co.uk. Tell Pudsey what you’re doing to raise money and how many people in your group would like to come along. Tickets are free.
Date: 31 October 2012
