Powerwalking at Reed Hall

Power walking at Reed Hall

Don't just talk the talk - walk the walk!

Power walking initiative to reinvigorate meeting and conference delegates.

Drifting off at meetings and conferences could become a thing of the past with Event Exeter's power walking initiative at the University’s premier meetings venue, Reed Hall.

Led by a qualified sports trainer, delegates are taken out of the Reed Hall meeting rooms for an invigorating power walk around the leafy campus to help increase productivity and boost brain power. The walks will be offered to companies booking meetings at Reed Hall.

The walks are designed to increase concentration by oxygenating the brain; reduce mental and muscular tension and boost energy. Physical activity also increases self-esteem and self-confidence.

Event Exeter’s Head of Sales and Marketing, Sarah Snow said: “We’ve all found ourselves drifting off at conferences and meetings at some point – this initiative aims to tackle that. It’s especially relevant today when many of us spend breaks frantically checking our emails. Reed Hall sits in a beautiful campus so the walking route is particularly inspiring and refreshing. We started trialling this as a staff initiative and, after a great response, decided to offer it to companies booking meetings and conferences.”

The walks can be tailored to suit different abilities and requirements. Please contact our team on eventexeter@exeter.ac.uk for more details or see our Event Exeter website.

To celebrate the launch, Event Exeter is offering a free power walk for the first five companies to book meeting rooms.
