Exeter Progression to Medical Professions

This programme introduces the wide-range of careers available within the Medical Professions. We explore how these disciplines interact with each other to improve people’s quality of life, using a range of hands-on interactive teaching sessions. Throughout, we focus on the University of Exeter’s particular areas of expertise: undergraduate courses in Medicine, Medical Sciences and Medical Imaging.

Session one - Tuesday 1st March, 12:00 - 17:00

Session two - Wednesday 16th March, 12:00 - 17:00

Session three - Wednesday 6th April, 12:00 - 17:00

Session four - Wednesday 20th April, 12:00 - 17:00

Session five - Wednesday 13th July, 12:00 - 16:00 (This date is the rescheduled date)

Note - lunch will be provided for all sessions.

All sessions will be held on the University of Exeter St Lukes campus in Exeter.

Any specific entry requirements

In order to be considered for this activity stream you must be studying at least one science A level. Where over-subscribed, priority will be given to students studying Chemistry and Biology.

Activity content

Join us to investigate some key medical scenarios, each chosen to highlight the distinctive perspectives of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Medical Imaging.

Through a mix of small and large group sessions, lectures and hands-on learning you will see what it is like to study at a Medical School.

Participation is key: by engaging fully in these sessions you will have an exceptional opportunity to develop and refine many of the skills crucial for success in your future career.

Pass criteria

A minimum of 4 out of the 5 activity days must be attended along with the Exeter Progression Student Conference.
