Final year programme - Flexible Combined Honours
There are no compulsory History modules during the final year.
Modules are chosen from:
- Dissertation - HIH3005 (30 credits). Requires Doing History: Perspectives on Sources - HIH2001 to have been taken in year 2, otherwise FCH Independent Study on a History subject can be taken instead of a History dissertation in the final year.
- A History Special Subject - Sources and Context (pair of modules 30+30 credits) (pre-requisite of at least 90 credits of History modules over Levels 1 and 2)
- Varieties of History modules (30 credits each, one per term)
- ...there are many Specials and Varieties to choose from, and they vary each year. The current list is under History on the College of Humanities' modules web page.
to make a total of 60 credits in this half of the overall Flexible Combined Honours degree programme.
FCH students are allowed to take a maximum of 90 credits of History each year, provided there are sufficient spaces on modules.
