Final year programme
You are strongly advised to do a dissertation during the final year, but it is optional.
A dissertation can be through:
- History dissertation - HIH3005
- Politics dissertation - POL3040
- Sociology dissertation - SOC3040
- or FCH Independent Study - HPS3888
The other 90 credits are chosen from level 3 modules available in:
- History
- Politics
- or Sociology/Philosophy
- ...there are many modules to choose from, and they vary each year.
Important notes:
- You need a total of 120 credits
- At least 90 credits must be at level 3. This means that you could take some level 2 modules as well as level 3 modules
- You cannot take level 1 modules unless there is a significant academic reason and this is approved by the FCH Director
- No more than 60 credits can be selected from one department, as this is an interdisciplinary degree programme
