One compulsory German module is taken during the first year:
- German Language, Written and Oral - MLG1001 (30 credits) (terms 1 and 2)
and 30 credits chosen from first year options available that year, e.g.:
- War, Passion and Possibly Love: Approaches to Genre in German Literature - MLG1016 (15 credits)
- Turning Points in German History 1200 - 2000 - MLG1017 (15 credits)
- A Nation Remembers: Issues in German Cultural Memory - MLG1014 (15 credits)
