From 2014 entry, History is not available for direct entry through UCAS. It is for internal student transfers only, subject to space and Admissions Office approval.
First year programme - Flexible Combined Honours
Two compulsory History modules are taken during the first year:
- Making History - HIH1400 (15 credits)
- and one 'Understanding' option chosen from:
and a module chosen from the Sources and Skills modules that are avilable that year, e.g.:
- British Naval Power in the Age of Nelson - HIH1535 (15 credits)
- Early Modern Venice: Representations and Myths - HIH1586 (15 credits)
- Men, Women and Madness in Twentieth-Century Britain - HIH1517 (15 credits)
- The Vikings: Image and Reality - HIH1603 (15 credits)
to make a total of 60 credits in this half of the overall Flexible Combined Honours degree programme.
FCH students are allowed to take a maximum of 90 credits of History each year, provided there are sufficient spaces on modules.
