animated brainPsychology is offered as two pathways through Flexible Combined Honours:

  1. Accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS)
  2. Non-accredited

1. BPS Accredited pathway

The accredited pathway involves studying usually 90 of your 120 overall credits each year in Psychology, leaving 30 each year for another subject area.

If you start on the accredited pathway you can later change to the non-accredited one.

2. Non-accredited pathway

The non-accredited pathway gives you flexibility, with optional modules in addition to some compulsory ones. The number of credits you take is also flexible, though generally FCH students take 60 credits each year.

If you start on the non-accredited pathway you cannot later change to the accredited one.

If you want British Psychological Society accreditation, and have followed this version of the FCH pathway, one-year postgraduate programmes are available elsewhere for this.
