The Spanish modules you take in your first year depend on whether you have Spanish A-Level or equivalent:

For those with Spanish A-Level:

  • Spanish Language, Written and Oral - MLS1001 (30 credits) (terms 1 and 2)

and a choice from 'context' modules available that year, e.g.:

  • Contemporary Latin America: Culture, Society and Institutions - MLS1012 (15 credits)
  • Hispanic Journeys - MLS1017 (15 credits)
  • Introduction to the Hispanic World: Texts in Context - MLS1064 (15 credits)
  • ... the choice varies each year. The current list is under Spanish on the College of Humanities' modules web page.

to make a total of 60 credits in this half of the overall Flexible Combined Honours degree programme.
