Student Staff Liaison Committee
We are committed to enabling students to communicate their views and suggestions to influence changes to policies and procedures.
Each discipline will have an undergraduate Student Staff Liaison Committee (SSLC), convened by a Subject Chair and composed of elected student representatives and appropriate staff representatives.
As a student, through the SSLC you can:
- influence how the degree is run
- suggest changes to anything connected with the degree
- raise concerns about your teaching departments
- comment on the personal tutoring system
An invitation to become a rep is sent out to all FCH students by e-mail at the start of each academic year.
The SSLC is chaired by a student rep, who is usually nominated and elected at the last meeting of the academic year, to serve for the following year. The SSLC has a secretary, who is nominated and elected at the first meeting of the academic year.

Note that none of the FCH staff or departmental academic staff are on this mailing list, so you can say anything you want that's relevant to the committee's interest!
