Second year programme - Flexible Combined Honours
One compulsory Chemistry module is taken:
- Structure and Reactivity of Organic Compounds 2 - BIO2085 (15 credits)
and modules are chosen from:
- Research Skills and Bioethics - BIO2071 (15 credits) - compulsory if biosciences research project (BIO3062) is taken in final year
- Forensic Science - BIO2066 (15 credits)
- Elements of Chemistry in Biological Systems - BIO2075 (15 credits)
- Analysis of Biological Macromolecules - BIO2084 (15 credits)
- Metabolism - BIO2086 (15 credits)
to make a total of 60 credits in this half of the overall Flexible Combined Honours degree programme.
More than 60 credits of chemistry/biosciences modules can be taken each year within Flexible Combined Honours.
At least 60 credits of approved chemistry modules have to be taken each year for Chemistry to form part of the degree title.
