GermanySecond year programme - Flexible Combined Honours

Two compulsory German modules are taken during the second year:

Either (for those who had German A-Level before the first year):

  • German Language Written and Oral - MLG2001 (30 credits) (terms 1 and 2)

or (for those beginning German in the first year):

  • Intermediate German - MLG2052 (30 credits) (terms 1 and 2)

plus a non-credit-bearing module that has a series of meetings to help you prepare for your year abroad - MLX2001

and 30 credits chosen from second year options available that year, e.g.:

  • Ideologies and Identities in German Cinema - MLG2042 (15 credits)
  • Protest, Priests and Princes: Germany in the Early Modern Period - MLG2045 (15 credits)
  • Berlin - Culture, History and Politics since 1933 - MLG2018 (15 credits)

to make a total of 60 credits in this half of the overall Flexible Combined Honours degree programme.
