Second year programme - Flexible Combined Honours
There is a choice of two pathways you can take for second year History:
- If you want to write a History dissertation in your final year, you take:
- If you do not want to write a History dissertation in your final year or you will be doing FCH Independent Study, which is like a dissertation, you take:
- two second year Option modules each worth 30 credits
There are many Option modules to choose from, and they vary each year. A full list is available on the History department's options web page (scroll down this list to find the HIH modules).
Either pathway makes a total of 60 credits in this half of the overall Flexible Combined Honours degree programme.
FCH students are allowed to take a maximum of 90 credits of History each year, provided there are sufficient spaces on modules.
