ItalySecond year programme - Flexible Combined Honours

Two compulsory Italian modules are taken during the second year:

Either (for those who had Italian A-Level before the first year):

  • Italian Language - MLI2001 (30 credits) (terms 1 and 2)

Or (for those beginning Italian in the first year):

  • Italian Language - MLI2051 (30 credits) (terms 1 and 2)

plus a non-credit-bearing module that has a series of meetings to help you prepare for your year abroad - MLX2001

and modules chosen from those available that year, e.g.:

  • Love (and Marriage?) - MLI2024 (15 credits)
  • Introduction to Dante: Inferno - MLI2008 (15 credits)
  • Italian Fiction of the 19th Century (Manzoni) - MLI2020 (15 credits)
  • ... the choice varies each year. The current list is under Modern Languages - Italian on the College of Humanities' modules web page.

to make a total of up to 90 credits in this part of the overall Flexible Combined Honours degree programme.
