RussiaSecond year programme - Flexible Combined Honours

Either (for those who had Russian A-Level before the first year):

  • Russian Language Written and Oral - MLR2001 (30 credits) (terms 1 and 2)

or (for those beginning Russian in the first year):

  • Intermediate Russian - MLR2030 (30 credits) (terms 1 and 2)

plus a non-credit-bearing module that has a series of meetings to help you prepare for your year abroad - MLX2001

and two modules, chosen from those available that year, e.g.:

  • Soviet History 1917-1991 - MLR2054 (30 credits)
  • Short Fiction by Pushkin, Gogol', and Turgenev - MLR2015 (15 credits)
  • ... the choice varies each year. The current list is under Modern Languages - Russian on the College of Humanities' modules web page.

to make a total of 60 credits in this half of the overall Flexible Combined Honours degree programme.
