Second year programme - Flexible Combined Honours
One compulsory Visual Culture module is taken during the second year:
- Contemporary Visual Practices -
(30 credits)
- Explores current issues in visual culture and the links between the past, very recent work and critical perspectives.
and you follow your interests through a wide range of optional modules, e.g.:
- Cinescapes; Time: Space and Identity - MLC2245 (30 credits)
- Spectacular Attractions: Cinema and Sensation - EAF2505 (30 credits)
- Origins and Development of Material Culture and Craft Ethnography - ARC2116 (15 credits)
- Live Art - DRA2065 (30 credits)
- Globalisation and Identity in the Western Roman Empire - CLA2357 (15 credits)
- Greek Temples - CLA2351 (15 credits)
to make a total of 60 credits in this half of the overall Flexible Combined Honours degree programme.
More than 60 credits of Visual Culture can be taken each year if sufficient relevant modules are available, so that this could become the main element of your degree title.
