C3: Project Proposal Form and Request for Authority Form
A Project Proposal form (PP) is a dual purpose document. It may be used simply to gauge whether a project aligns with the University’s overall strategy, in which case it need not include detailed information of cost or funding, but is likely to be a high-level indicator of the intended merits of undertaking the project. Secondly, the PP can be used to request authorisation for feasibility / appraisal funds.
In both cases Project Proposals must be submitted to the appropriate management approver, as per table in C2.
Once strategic fit is approved or feasibility studies are completed, a Requesr for Authority form needs to be completed, giving a fuller description of the project and seeking authorisation to proceed.
