Cashflow and investments

Cashflow and Investments is part of Corporate Finance and is responsible for:

  • Managing the University’s day-to-day cash balances
  • Investing surplus cash into short term deposits, as and when necessary
  • Forecasting the University’s cashflow on a short term (daily/monthly) and long term (the next 5 years) basis
  • Providing monthly cashflow reports and other information facilitating effective control and management of the University’s balance sheet and income & expenditure
  • Promoting an awareness of cashflow considerations across the University.

Significant transactions

The cashflow team needs to be constantly kept informed about all significant financial transactions that the University will make in the near and distant future. Therefore, please inform us of any changes to plans, new lines of cashflow and significant upcoming transactions (greater than £25,000), that you are aware of by completing the significant transactions form.
