In-tend

In-tend is the university's system for managing invitations to tender (ITT), requests for quotation (RFQ), e-auctions and contracts.

The system consists of three modules:

  • eTendering.
  • Contract management.
  • Active bidding (eAuction).

  • Visibility of contracts, including renewal dates.

How can I access In-tend?

As a user

  1. Contact Procurement Services to request training on how to use In-tend and receive a user name and password.
  2. Procurement will arrange and set up user access rights and details will be e-mailed to the user.
  3. The web links for both the training and live sites along with user guides are below.
  4. Before using In-tend: Turn off your pop-up blocker, set the In-tend website as a trusted website in your browser.
  5. Log-on using supplied login and password.

How to access In-tend as a supplier

  1. Visit the In-tend website to view current tenders.
  2. Express an interest in any relevant forthcoming tender/contract.
  3. You will be asked to provide registration details which will then log you into the system.
  4. View the tender details stored in My Tenders.
  5. Follow on-screen instructions to submit your bid.
  6. Should you encounter any problems please select the help option from the index which includes FAQs and contact numbers.

In-tend training  Access to the training version of the In-tend organiser.
Supplier portal The portal where tender projects are published and suppliers can express interest (EOI), send / receive correspondence and upload their bids. Contract details are published for Freedom of Information purposes and allow new suppliers to express interest in a current contract. The portal also allows secure exchange of contractual documentation / correspondence.
