Cognos Financial Planning

The Cognos Financial Planning tool can be accessed at https://cognos.exeter.ac.uk

It is used for financial planning, budgeting and forecasting and is made up of the following modules:

• Consolidated Plan
• Non-Pay
• Staffing
• Teaching
• Research
• Controls (used to manage central assumptions and allocations)

There are also a number of reports which are available from the data within these modules.

Access to modules uses the Cognos Contributor application, access to which is limited to specific licence holders. However, reports can be run on the data from the modules if you have been assigned a reporting licence.

Cognos Financial Planning has been implemented as part of the wider Business Intelligence (BI) Project.
