Queen's Building Gallery
The student Art Society has over 200 members which meets regularly. The artwork is produced in the Queen's art studio and Cornwall House. Archie Wardlaw the Vice-President writes:
"The Art Society produces occasional exhibitions of recent works in the Queens Gallery. This contains some of the outstanding art which the society continues to create. It runs life drawing, printing and textile classes throughout the year, and without any art school at the University it provides a fantastic creative outlet for many artistic students."

Bill Douglas Centre for the History of Cinema and Popular Culture volunteers presents "Treasures from the Collection"
This features a miscellany of dozens of artefacts, spanning two centuries and the vast range of objects that we hold related to the moving image, from lantern slides to toys to cigarette cards. The display aims to tempt those that have not yet made it to our free, public museum to visit the galleries in the old library and has been put together by our volunteers Rosie Gibbs, Eleanor Sanderson and Jo Mills. Rosie and Jo are students in the Sschool of Applied Literatures and Languages (SALL). If you want to know more about anything you see in the case contact the curator, Phil Wickham, or look at our online catalogue at www.exeter.ac.uk/bdc. |
