Location of the Institute of Arab & Islamic Studies Gallery

On foot
From St. David's station, in the south-western part of the city:
- Take the pedestrian signs for the University - i.e. walk away from the station's main entrance towards the main road in front of you and up the hill through the alleyway by the pedestrian crossing
- Walk up Howell Road towards New North Road
- Turn left onto New North road
- Turn right into The Prince Of Wales Road
- Take the second left into Streatham Drive
- Turn right into The Queen's Drive
- Follow this road up the hill until you reach a 'T' junction
- Turn left at the 'T' junction
- The Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies building is the first building on the left
- Use the building entrance that is at the end of the path from the road
- From the entrance, go through the main entrance hallway and turn left down the main stairway. The gallery is in the corridor at the bottom of the stairs
From Exeter Central station:
- Turn right out of the main station entrance and go down Queen street, away from the town centre.
- At the Clock Tower roundabout take the second exit into New North road.
- Walk along New North road until you come to the junction of The Price Of Wales Road.
- Turn right into The Prince Of Wales Road
- Take the second left into Streatham Drive
- Turn right into The Queen's Drive
- Follow this road up the hill until you reach a 'T' junction
- Turn left at the 'T' junction
- The Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies building is the first building on the left
- Use the building entrance that is at the end of the path from the road
- From the entrance, go through the main entrance hallway and turn left down the main stairway. The gallery is in thecorridor at the bottom of the stairs
Bus services (the 'D' and 'H' buses)
The closest bus stop is the one near the Peter Chalk Centre, which is just down the hill from the IAIS Building.

By road
If you are approaching Exeter from the west, you need to turn up the hill from the east into the Streatham campus via The Prince Of Wales road and follow the road around until you reach Stocker road. This road leads directly up into the heart of the campus, where parking is available in front of the Great Hall as marked on the map.
Similarily, if you are coming from the East, The Prince of Wales is the easiest road to take you into campus. Follow the road around until you reach Stocker road. This road leads directly up into the heart of the campus, where parking is available in front of the Great Hall as marked on the map.

Taxis are also available from both of the stations.
