Language Centre

The Language Centre at the University of Exeter is a great place to learn a language, whether for study, work or just for fun. We provide excellent teaching by suitably qualified and experienced professionals, so that learning a language is both enjoyable and rewarding.

  • Visit the Undergraduate Study page if you are an undergraduate student seeking to take languages for credits.
  • Visit the Evening Language Programme page if you are a student or a member of the public wishing to take languages for your own personal development without assessment.

About the Language Centre

The Language Centre offers language tuition to undergraduate students and members of the public at most levels.

  • Undergraduate students at Exeter can add “with proficiency in” a language to their degree title at no extra cost. To do so, you only need to complete 60 credits in the language of study. Please check our range of languages and levels and learn how to register here.
  • Members of the public: Those wishing to take language modules for their own personal development without assessment can register for the Evening Language Programme for a small fee. We have a wide range of languages and levels available. Please visit our range of languages and levels and learn how to register here.
