Parking At the University of Exeter, Streatham Campus
There will be very little parking available on campus during graduation week so we strongly recommend that you do not attempt to park on campus. We expect all parking spaces to be filled very quickly and once this happens you will be directed off campus. We have 150 spaces available on campus and expect more than 400 cars per day, so please ensure you leave enough time to find parking in the area. Guests are welcome to drive onto campus to drop off passengers before continuing on to park elsewhere. Graduands can request a disabled parking space on campus for their guests as part of the registration process but priority will be given to wheelchair users.
The University will be running a Park and Ride bus from the Exeter Arena Athletics Stadium, Summer Lane, Exeter,EX4 8NT direct to the University EX4 4QJ. There will be a small charge for parking here, but the bus service will be provided free of charge. Further information will be included with the ticket pack. The Arena is close to Junction 29 of the M5.
Alternative Parking Exeter
see http://en.parkopedia.co.uk/parking/exeter/
which lists all parking in the area. Note that no. 38 on this map is not available. The nearest public car park is Isca Place at the top of Queen’s Street, near the clock tower, which is 15 minutes walk from campus. Howell Road, King Williams Street, Longbrook Street, the Guildhall Centre, and Mary Arches Street car parks are all large car public car parks in the city centre.
Please also note that parking in the Prince of Wales Road and Streatham Drive is owned by the City Council and not the University and that there is a fee for parking here (meters on street).
For those arriving via the M5 motorway, there are Park and Ride car parks at Sowton (off Junction 30), Honiton Road (Junction 29), and Matford (Junction 31) with buses running to the town centre. These are run by Exeter City Council.
