The Winter graduation ceremonies will take place on Saturday 19th January in Exeter on the Streatham campus.

Winter 2013 graduation

Winter 2013 graduation ceremonies will be held 19 January 2013 in Exeter with approximately 2000 students invited to attend. The ceremonies will include the awarding of honorary degrees to distinguished individuals by the University’s Chancellor, Baroness Floella Benjamin OBE.

Students graduating at the ceremonies will have seen the University go from strength to strength.  We have been named Sunday Times University of the Year for 2012/13, been ranked 7th in the Sunday Times league table and 10th in the UK Times Good University Guide.  We are particularly proud to have been placed by our students in the Top 10 for satisfaction in the National Student Survey every year since the survey began.

This year, Exeter has also joined the Russell Group of leading research-led institutions. As well as greatly enhancing our national and international profile, the presence of a Russell Group University on the South West peninsula is excellent news for our students, alumni, staff and regional partners.

The University of Exeter will continue to grow and develop, but we will always endeavour to uphold our values of providing high quality, research-led teaching and a wonderful student experience in one of the most beautiful regions of the UK. We hope you take away good memories of your time at the University of Exeter and continue to stay in touch in the years ahead.

I look forward to seeing you at the ceremonies.

Professor Sir Steve Smith

Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive
