Tim Hollingsworth is the Chief Executive of the British Paralympic Association (BPA), a post he has held since July 2011. In leading the organisation he is responsible for the overall selection, preparation and management of the ParalympicsGB Team, as well as the promotion of the Paralympic movement in the UK and for the generation of the commercial and other revenues required to ensure each team is best prepared for every summer and winter Paralympic Games.

During his time as CEO the British team has enjoyed two of its most successful Games ever – winning 120 medals and finishing 3rd in the medal table at the London 2012 Paralympic Games and finishing 10th in the medal table with six medals, including GB’s first ever winter gold medal, at the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games.

Before joining the BPA, he was from 2010-2011 Chief Operating Officer and from 2005-2010 Director of Policy & Communications at UK Sport, the high performance agency responsible for investing £100 million a year in the UK’s Olympic and Paralympic sports and athletes.

Prior to that, he was: Director of a communications consultancy, HBL Media; Head of Corporate Communications at Granada plc; and Head of Media Relations at the Confederation of British Industry.

He holds an MA Degree in Drama, and a BA Hons Degree in English and Drama from the University of Exeter, having graduated in 1990. He now lives with his wife and two sons in Bath.
