Overview
Kathryn White is Innovation Manager at the Environmental Futures & Big Data Impact Lab, where she works to match local SMEs with the skills and resources available within the university and across the programme partnership. The Impact Lab is a regional development programme funded by ERDF and consists of seven partners: University of Exeter, Met Office, Rothamsted Research, Plymouth University, Plymouth College of Art, Exeter City Futures and Plymouth Marine Laboratory. We support SMEs to develop innovative new products, services or processes which exploit Big Data technology and have a positive impact on our environmental future.

Career
Kathryn has extensive experience in corporate and startup innovation, including eight years with Royal Bank of Scotland, with three years in Silicon Valley working on Open Innovation with startups and larger technology companies. She recently took a year to carry out on-the-ground research into innovation ecosystems in emerging markets, travelling through 20 countries in 8 months across 3 continents.
