Impact and Partnership Development Officer - MSc Data Science
Hope Hall, University of Exeter, Prince of Wales Road, Exeter, EX4 4PL
The University of Exeter’s MSc in Data Science (Professional) is an innovative flexible programme allowing employees to study part-time while working, minimising disruption upon careers and for employers. We draw upon our in-house expertise and contacts within world-leading data companies to offer a unique programme taught through residentials, e-learning and work-based projects.
Sarah’s role is to ensure the programme runs smoothly for our partners, students and academics. She supports business engagement, contract negotiation and facilitates conversations between University colleagues and external partners.
Sarah enjoys building trusted and friendly business relationships with internal and external partners, supporting colleagues and employers to find answers to mutual challenges.
She is curious about people and their work, and loves to find out about their business interests. Supporting their networks, and creating trusting, collaborative relationships where innovative and exciting projects happen is one of her favourite things to do. Sarah backs this up with well-organised research and relationship management, and by working closely with colleagues.
Sarah spent 14 years running her own business, prior to which she was employed in various marketing roles with Atkins, Hiscox and Legal & General.
As a Level 2 qualified rugby coach, she supports and develops Women's Rugby in both the junior and senior game. She sits on the Devon RFU Player Development Committee, Newton Abbot RFC Executive Committee, as well as recently being elected as Women’s Section Manager. All of her volunteer roles provide her with space to expand her skills for the benefit of her sport, as well as learning new skills in a fun and exciting environment.
