Welcome and congratulations on your appointment at the University of Exeter.  Induction is an essential process for all the staff within the University, through which individuals are:

• Welcomed and effectively integrated to the University, their area and colleagues
• Able to develop an understanding of their role and the environment, culture, and the aims and objectives of the team in which they will be working
• Equipped with the knowledge and skills essential to perform their duties or provided with training with which to do so

• Provided with essential training, which meets legal obligations, eg Health & Safety
