Erasmus Intensive Language Course (EILC)
We are pleased to notify you that Erasmus Intensive Language Courses (EILCs) are being offered to Erasmus students again this year.
EILCs are specifically for Erasmus students to study the language of the host country before starting their Erasmus study period. The advantages of these courses are tremendous:
- NO TUITION FEES
- 20 hours of language training per week (courses between 3 and 8 weeks)
- Special cultural components within the programme
- Accommodation and meals provided for the course period
- Site visits to places of interest
Where?
This year the EILCs are planned to take place in the following countries: Belgium (Flemish), Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (Basque, Catalan, Galician and Valencian), Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey.
Who Can Participate?
UK institutions are required to make applications on behalf of their students to the EILC organising institution, that is the particular institution hosting the relevant language course.
The EILC organising institutions are expected to provide UK institutions with a list of students who have confirmed their participation before the start of the course and then a future list of students who have attended the EILC following its completion.
How?
General information, course information (which contains the organising institutions contact details) and application forms for EILCs are available on the European Commission's EILC website.
