How do I apply?
Start seeking permission from your Study Abroad Coordinator as soon as possible in your second year (or first year if you plan to go away in your second year), course selection can be time consuming and won’t necessarily be cleared up in one meeting.
You must attain average grades of 60% or above in order to be considered for international exchange.
Once you have decided that you want to take part it will become an integral part of your degree. You therefore must not only get academic advice about which courses to study whilst abroad, but also the permission to go in the first place. Your College has the final say in whether you can go or not.
When deciding what you will study when abroad, you should consult with your Co-ordinator. You must be prepared to do some research on the web or use the partner university’s course catalogues to find a selection of courses you would like to study. Depending on your degree, there may be certain courses you are required to take or to find close equivalents.
Whatever the stipulations of your degree programme, you must agree on a selection of courses, put it down in writing and have it signed for your own records, and ours, to avoid confusion over whether you have fulfilled your course requirements upon your return.
