Module description
The main purpose of this module is to increase your awareness and develop your knowledge and skills in effective management of yourself and others. This is set in the context of human resource management principles and practice as currently applied within organisations.
Module aims - intentions of the module
The module will cover the essential elements of HRM and their implementation in organisations. It draws substantially on HRM concepts, theories and practices from different organisations to facilitate understanding of the issues and concerns that are applicable to them. It will explain and clarify how an informed, well-structured and participative approach to people management can deliver substantial benefits to all stakeholders: employers, employees, shareholders and clients.
