Level 1 Module
At this level, there are 3 language awareness tasks covering the analysis of student errors and the testing of knowledge of terminology, grammar, phonology and vocabulary. There are 2 peer-group teaching practices (10 minutes each); the first is formative with the focus on developing classroom presence and classroom management skills; the second teaching practice (summative) is based on teaching from a course book unit. There are 2 assignments; the first involves interviewing an international student and comparing their learning experiences; the second is practically based and includes preparation of a lesson plan and materials based on a course book text.
