Pre-university Summer School in Medicine
Saturday 22 July - Saturday 5 August
The University of Exeter Medical School is offering an innovative academic programme for students in their last two years of high school, who are interested in learning about Medicine, Medical Imaging, Medical Sciences and Biomedical Sciences, and who want to experience university life in the UK.
This intensive academic programme combines university-style teaching (lectures, problem-based-learning and small group work) with hands-on, practical sessions at our Clinical Skills Resource Centre, to develop an understanding of the clinical and communication skills required in the medical professions.
There will also be a chance to learn more about the UCAS application process including writing personal statements, aptitude tests (UKCAT and BMAT) and preparing for interview, as well as an overview of the careers opportunities available for graduates in all of our medical degree programmes.
Accommodation is provided in University of Exeter Halls on the Streatham campus in Exeter, one of the most beautiful in the UK, and a safe environment in which to stay. The programme will also include social events to help you get to know fellow students, the historic city of Exeter and the beaches and countryside of Devon.
