Is there an Orientation scheme for new students?

Yes.  Students arriving in September take part in Welcome Week, a week of information sessions and social events before the start of classes.  Students arriving for semester two in January have a one day orientation programme on the first day of semester two and social events organised during the week.  Orientation programme details are posted on the University website once they have been confirmed.
