I want to apply for semester one but I cannot stay until the end as my home university's Spring Semester begins early January.  Can I still apply?

We know that clashes in academic year dates can occur so for students who have to return home at Christmas our departments will arrange alternative assessment so they can still receive a full semester's credits.  The only department who does not do this is the Business School.  They request that students arrange to sit the exams at their home university.
