Hande Guneykaya, BA Politics and Sociology

"Last year I took the Foundation Programme in Social Studies and I am now a first-year student on the BA in Politics and Sociology.  Exeter's reputation was the first reason that I considered coming here to study.  I then came to visit and after meeting staff I decided that it would be the right place for me to be a student.  Exeter has the combination of a lovely campus and very qualified staff which is why I chose to combine the two social science branches of Politics and Sociology and my long-term aim is to be an adviser in a multinational company."

Ekin Beyzadeoglu, MA English Studies (2011-12)

“It’s perhaps a cliché for everyone to assume that the University they attend is the best in every way, for me, this cliché has turned out to be true. I do believe that Exeter, the heart of Devon, is one of the loveliest cities I have ever lived in. The people, the tranquil air of the whole city, the amazing sceneries and believe it or not, the weather, are some of the few brilliant characteristics of Exeter.

The University adds so much to the city as well. The importance given to the wellbeing of the students, the support and the education are what provide glad ship. Long story short, I must say that having the honour of becoming a student the University of Exeter has been an absolute pleasure”.
