The ten-week programme covers nine weeks of intensive research in a state-of-the art laboratory in Zurich or Basel. Working as part of a research team, you will have the opportunity to interact with leading scientists and doctoral students.

A closing highlight of the programme is the joint symposium for all European Amgen Scholars in Cambridge, UK.

In addition to conducting hands-on research, as an Amgen Scholar at ETH you will attend workshops and events offering both insights into state-of-the art research and the opportunity to learn cross-cutting skills such as communication, scientific writing and intercultural skills.

Summer Exchange at Koç University is offered in two tracks:
3 July - 6 August 2018
3 July - 17 August 2018

The program aims to create a rewarding summer experience for students from both partner and non-partner universities. It combines high-quality courses and the opportunity to participate in local activities that enables you to gain insight into Turkish culture in Istanbul.

Located on both sides of the Bosphorus, Istanbul bridges Asia and Europe both physically and culturally. This is one of the greatest cities in the world where you can see a modern western city combined with its own unique culture. From the foundation of Byzantium in the 7th century BC until today, Istanbul always held an important role in the history of humanity as a melting pot of many civilizations. Today it boosted its population over 14 million people living in this spread out city. This makes Istanbul the largest city in Turkey and one of the biggest cities in the world.

An exciting social and cultural orientation week, featuring numerous outdoor and indoor activities, enriches the academic framework of our summer program. Personal guidance by your mentors, academic advisors, excellent professors, and cultural activities provide a lasting experience. Orientation week program is available if you wish to explore more outside of the course.
