Question 6: What is the UK Border Agency looking for?
When looking at a Tier 4 (General) visa application, both in the UK or outside the UK, the UK Border agency is looking for four key things:
- that you have an unconditional offer at the appropriate level with an institution that is licensed by the UK Border Agency to recruit international students
- that you are qualified to study that course
- that you have the appropriate finances to pay for your course fees and living expenses while you are here
- that any previous immigration history shows that you follow the immigration rules and that you have a valid passport
