Immigration - Tier 4 Super Guide
Question 13: What if my application is refused?
If your application is refused, first of all don't panic. You will usually be given the option to appeal the decision, take it to an 'administrative review', or submit a fresh application.
Refusals can be quite confusing, however, and it's all in the detail. It is very important that you contact the International Student Support Office immediately for advice. Please scan all pages of the refusal notice that you have received from the UK Border Agency and email them to sid@ex.ac.uk labelled VISA REFUSAL, explaining that you have been refused and what documents you submitted with your application. We will answer as soon as possible to advise you and we recommend that you do not take any action (such as appealing the decision) until you have heard from us, unless you have run out of time to wait for a response.
